I am not sure how August snuck up on me so fast, but I'm thrilled to be writing to you. There are so many great things happening at Apothecary 19. This update is a long one, but it's worth it. I promise.
SHOP UPDATE 8/1 1:30 P.M. CDT
- ACOTAR Line - Earlier this year, I went through the licensing process with the publishing team for Sarah J. Maas and tomorrow I'm dropping the first part of a new line inspired by the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I love ACOTAR and making these candles was really fun, and a bit challenging (Nesta, I'm looking at you).
- TNAIM Restock - Ash & Gad are joining the standard line up. There are small number of limited editions available if you missed those in the pre-order. They're available as oils and sprays as well.

UPDATE YOUR EMAIL PREFERENCES
I have switched email platforms that will allow me to automate some things that I was having to do manually through my previous service; specifically the monthly birthday emails. Did you even know, that if you give me your birthday I'll send you a coupon for a free jar candle? In the footer, click edit preferences to make sure I've got your birthday, even if you supplied it before.
BATCH SIZE & SEASONAL PRODUCTION
Apothecary 19 has always been a small batch shop, and we're going to stay that way. In fact, we're going smaller. Mostly due to time and space constraints, and a growing library of scents. I'm going to be switching some things up.
- Initial drops will be much smaller than they have in the past. Example - the ACOTAR line dropping tomorrow only has nine jar candles available for each character. In the past, I've done 12-24.
- Collections are going seasonal. The original 13 will be available all year. Any of the higher numbers, will not. Check the leaving soon, collection to see if any of your favorites are going to be going out of stock anytime soon.
If you were around last holiday season, you might remember the 25 days and 8 nights of self-care boxes I offered. Welp! I'm bringing them back this year and I am really looking forward to it, even if it means I'm thinking about the holidays in July. Last year a lot of folks reached out asking for a sale earlier in the year because the investment wasn't in their Nov/Dec budget. So, I'm taking that to heart and offering a pre-order. Here are the details:
- This pre-order will run from 8/1 - 9/30. The boxes will not ship until November.
- Self-care boxes are ineligible for discounts. A ton of work goes into these and the profit margin is slim. BUT the cost will be lower in the pre-order than the live sale in October.
- They cannot be combined with other products.
- Not interested in the pre-order, there will be a very small quantity of boxes (like maybe 5 of each size) available for live sale in October and November. This is a logistical decision, because I underestimated production time last year and we learn from our mistakes. :)
