Renewal. Replenish. Recharge. By now you've been making space for yourself each day. It's been 20 days, hopefully this has become a practice of anticipation that you look forward to. Hopefully it is helping you restore your energy during a time of rapid depletion. Today I want you to focus on how you're going to recharge and keeping this going next week after the daily reminders are gone.
Even if you don't want to make a daily ritual of it with treats, how are you going to recharge?
It isn't optional. We all must make space for ourselves each day to refill our energy stores. Perhaps it is movement. Perhaps it is yoga and meditation. Perhaps it is a comfy pair of sweatpants and a good book after a long day at work. Whatever makes you feel good, find time for it each day. Remember, the days when you feel like it is impossible to find time for renewal, those are likely the days you need it most.
- What are a few small things you can do on days when you don’t feel like you have time for yourself that will refill your cup? Keep this list handy and use it on the days you need it.
- What helps you stay calm and grounded?
- How do you support others emotionally? Can you offer yourself that same emotional support?
Today's Gift
I absolutely love Renée Boynton's art. Her figure drawings are captivating. While her work, Bound, will probably always be one of my favorites, I also love her pieces with plants. I hope that you love her art as much as I do. I also hope you love the print and it can serve as a reminder of how you have taken care of yourself this holiday season.
