Focus is a powerful tool to bring to any practice or project. It can be especially powerful during the holidays when we tend to overdo it and put our needs on the back burner. Taking a moment to center yourself and clear your mind not only allows you to stay present in the moment but also allows you to stay connected to what truly matters.
It’s easy to let the hustle and bustle of the holidays blur your focus. Even small, consistent steps can make a big difference. Showing up for yourself, even in the smallest ways, keeps you connected to your goals and values. Maybe that means taking a few minutes to breathe deeply, jotting down a quick reflection in your journal, or simply pausing to savor a quiet moment. Each intentional act reinforces your commitment to this self-care journey and helps you stay aligned with what truly matters.
You are here, on day 12 of this self-care journey, with your goals and values in hand, making incremental changes and progress towards what you truly want to achieve. No matter what happens, you’re going to stay focused for the next couple of weeks. Even though you’re likely getting pulled in a lot of directions, you have what you need within you to continue. You’ll call on your determination, self-control, and focus to overcome any obstacles that keep you from making a little time for yourself each day. At the end of all of this, you’ll find yourself with a holiday season that was just a little more intentional.
Remember, this journey isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress. Some days will feel easier than others, and that’s okay. The most important thing is that you keep showing up, even if it’s not in the way you originally planned. By staying focused on your goals and creating space to experience life as it happens, you build a foundation for a more meaningful holiday season and a stronger connection to yourself.
I am proud of you for making it this far. And if you’re sitting with this card today, feeling disappointed that you missed a day, or they haven’t all resonated exactly right, know this… you’re here today, and that’s better than nothing at all.

- What are some of the holiday distractions that might pop-up in the next couple of weeks? How can you anticipate them and adjust accordingly to stay on track?
- What are some ways that you can let go of self-criticism and focus on the progress you’re making and treat each day as a fresh opportunity even though the day before might not have gone as planned?
