HIYA!
Well, time is moving at breakneck speed. I can't believe that I'm planning fall stuff and holiday retail.
Since I last checked in, we've had a few firsts.
Midwest Bookish Fest
I attended my first real book convention as a vendor a couple of weeks ago. I loved meeting all of you and chatting about books. I got to meet a few authors that I've followed for a long time. I showed a lot of restraint and only bought six books. Next year, the convention falls on my birthday, so I won't be able to participate, BUT I hope to be back in 2028.
Florence went camping
We took the kids up to the North Shore for our annual 4th of July camping trip. That was so fun and also a bit terrifying. We tent-camped and found ourselves caught in a pretty gnarly thunderstorm. The kids slept right through it. For those of you who are new here, I have two kids—Henry (almost 7) and Florence (1). It was really great that they slept through the storm. The following night, Floof woke up at 2 or 3 a.m. and was ready to party. Insert eye roll emoji. All in all, it was a great trip. We're already looking forward to the next one.
New Summer Collection
I have a new summer collection. These three scents are all brand new and inspired by some of my favorite parts of summer. My favorite in the collection is probably Lake Forest Summer. This scent is very much North Shore of Lake Superior inspired, a very special and magical place. All Minnesotans revere it.
New Additions to The Libation Collection
Alright! Alright! I added a coffee candle. I hope you all love it. It's definitely coffee-forward.
The Fresh Melon & Lemonade scent is light and bright, and I love it in the kitchen to start the day.
2026 25 days of Self-Care Boxes
It physically pains me to think about the winter holiday season before Halloween and Samhain. BUT it is necessary. (I'm being dramatic. It doesn't actually cause me pain.)
That said, I am super fucking excited (pardon the language, but I'm serious). It is the 5th year, and I'm hoping to do them up big! I am currently in the first stages of planning and will share more as I have it. The goal is to keep them at the same prices (or as close to the same price) as last year.
