Is this like a bath bomb?

Sort of, but for your shower. Shower melts (also called shower steamers) are meant to give you a similar experience in the shower. The ingredients are the same, although it is much smaller. If you have a bath, you can certainly use it as one. 
What are they made out of?

sodium hydrogen carbonate (baking soda), citric acid, fragrance (parfum or essential oils), and fractionated coconut oil.
Will it really help me relax?

So many claims in beauty products are often anecdotal. However, certain essential oils and fragrances are known to affect the nervous system. For example, people have used lavender for centuries to aid sleep and calm the nervous system. The only way to know whether they work for you is to try them. 
How long will it last?

Depends on your shower habits. For most of my customers and me, they're single-use. I do take a long, hot shower at the end of the day, roughly 30 minutes.
