24 | SIMPLIFY

Day 24 | SIMPLIFY

‘sim-pluh-fai | transitive verb: to make simple or simpler

As we near the end of this self-care journey, it's time to distill what we've learned and simplify. Sometimes the most radical form of self-care is simply doing less and thinking less. There is a profound sense of power and relief that comes when you finally decide to put down the heavy mental baggage you have been carrying. You have spent weeks building up your toolkit, but today is about refinement. It is about realizing that you do not need to carry every worry, every potential outcome, or every old story across the finish line.

The joy of simplifying is a clear path. When you strip away the drama and the complex "what ifs," you are left with the present moment, which is usually much easier to handle than the future you were worrying about. Your commitment today is to look for the easy answer. Where are you making things more complicated than they need to be? Where are you fighting a battle that is already over?

Give yourself permission to embrace the simple solution. A simple no is a complete sentence. A simple meal is nourishment. A simple routine is enough. When you clear out the mental clutter and stop arguing with reality, you reclaim a massive amount of energy. Simplifying is about making space for what actually matters. Feel the lightness that comes from dropping the weight. You are free to move into tomorrow with a clear mind and a light heart.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

  • Where are you currently making a situation more complicated than it needs to be? What is the simple, easy solution you are overlooking?
  • What mental clutter or old worry are you ready to drop right now to instantly feel lighter?
  • Describe a time when you chose the simple path instead of the perfect one. How did that choice bring you more joy?
  • What is one absolute truth about your worth or your needs that you can accept simply today, without needing to explain or justify it?

THE GIFT

Today's gifts are Simplify shower melts. They're a blend of rosemary, garden sage, and lemon. I originally planned for these to be a box exclusive, but the scent is so lovely, I cannot gatekeep and will be adding them to the regular lineup when my shop re-opens after the first of the year.
