Day 22| SEEK

'sēk | transitive verb: to go in search of: look for; to try to discover

We are officially entering the final phase of our journey together. These last few days, we'll be integrating all you've learned into your daily life so that you can continue your self-care practice after this advent calendar is finished. You have spent three weeks building a solid foundation, clearing out the clutter, and defining your purpose. Now we get to the exciting part: deciding what to build on top of that sturdy ground. Today brings a fresh spark of energy and inspiration. It represents the moment right before creation happens.

Too often, as adults,  we wait for motivation to strike. We wait to feel energized before we take action. But the energy of today asks you to flip that dynamic. Your commitment today is to actively seek out your next source of inspiration. You have cleared away the old habits and heavy expectations that were weighing you down. Now you have a blank slate and reserved energy. What do you want to put there? You're gonna have to seek it out.

This is not about planning a massive life overhaul or setting a high-pressure goal. It is about noticing the small flickers of interest that you usually ignore because you are too busy. Is there a new type of movement you have been curious about? Is there a creative hobby you once loved but stopped doing? Is there a topic you want to read about?

Take a second to think about it. What comes to mind? Seek those things out today.

Potential is simply possibility waiting for your attention. It is the freedom to try something new without the pressure to be perfect at it. Look at the routine you have established over the last few weeks. How can you introduce one single element of excitement into it? When you actively seek joy and inspiration, you prove to yourself that your self-care is not just about maintenance. It is about growth. You have earned this fresh start. Go find the spark that makes you want to show up tomorrow.

JOURNAL PROMPTS

THE GIFTS

Today's gift is a perfume rooted in the adventures we embark on during the fall months. Fall is a natural time when we feel the spark of inspiration. The busy, sunshine-filled schedule of summer is behind us, we're back to school and to our routines, and the activities we seek out in our personal lives are full of adventure—trips to the pumpkin patch, a drive up north to see the fall foliage, and coffee on a crisp morning. I really wanted to capture that feeling and essence in this perfume. When you're seeking joy, inspiration, and routine, apply a little dab of this to your pulse points for an extra boost.

For the folks who got a deluxe box, the dropper bottle is your refill. That little plastic piece is the key. Use the plastic piece to pop the top off your roller bottle and the dropper to refill. Once it is full, use the largest circle to snap the rollerball back down. It will click when it is on all of the way.
